Seoul · South Korea
Specialist evaluation and surgical care for pudendal neuralgia and chronic pelvic pain, led by Dr Renaud Bollens — Professor of Urology, with over 600 pelvic procedures performed.
The center
Seoul patients begin with a secure online consultation with Prof. Renaud Bollens. When surgery is indicated, we coordinate the in-person evaluation and laparoscopic pudendal nerve decompression at our Dubai (Koster Clinic, Jumeirah) or Belgium center, with support for imaging, hospitalisation and post-operative follow-up on return to Korea.
International patients
We work with Korean patients from Gangnam, Seocho, Yongsan and greater Seoul who are searching for a definitive answer after inconclusive urology, gynaecology or pain-clinic pathways. Consultations are held in English; a Korean medical interpreter can be arranged. Reports are provided in English suitable for 실손보험 reimbursement.
Why patients travel from Seoul
Chronic pelvic pain — particularly pudendal neuralgia, chronic prostatitis / CPPS and pelvic floor dysfunction — is often under-recognised in Korea's mainstream urology and gynaecology pathways. Many Seoul patients cycle through medications, physiotherapy and repeated cystoscopies without a clear diagnosis.
Prof. Renaud Bollens has performed more than 600 pelvic procedures over 26+ years, with a focused subspecialty in laparoscopic pudendal nerve decompression. For Seoul patients, we structure care as an online evaluation first, followed by a single focused surgical stay in Dubai or Belgium, and remote follow-up.
We coordinate with Korean-speaking radiology centers for MR neurography where needed and provide English-language operative reports for 실손보험 reimbursement. Booking requests from Seoul are typically answered within one working day.
FAQ
The initial consultation is held online. If pudendal nerve decompression or another surgical procedure is indicated, Dr Bollens will schedule the operation at our Dubai (Koster Clinic) or Belgium center — whichever is more convenient for Seoul patients. Most Korean patients choose Dubai for its direct flights from Incheon (ICN).
The consultation is conducted in English. We can arrange a professional Korean-English medical interpreter for the video call on request — please mention this when booking.
Typical stay for laparoscopic pudendal nerve decompression is 5–7 days, including pre-operative imaging, the procedure, and the first post-operative check. Follow-up is then continued remotely from Seoul.
Coverage depends on your policy. We provide a detailed medical report, procedure codes, and invoices in English for reimbursement claims with Korean insurers. Please confirm eligibility with your provider before travelling.
Bring any pelvic MRI (preferably 3T), MR neurography, EMG of the pelvic floor, and previous urology or gynaecology reports. If your imaging is inconclusive, we can suggest a Seoul-based radiology center that meets our protocol.
