Specialist evaluation and surgical care for pudendal neuralgia and chronic pelvic pain, led by Dr Renaud Bollens — Professor of Urology, with over 600 pelvic procedures performed.
The center
Singaporean patients begin with a secure online consultation with Prof. Renaud Bollens. When surgery is indicated, we coordinate laparoscopic pudendal nerve decompression at our Dubai (Koster Clinic, Jumeirah) or Belgium center, with imaging, hospitalisation and structured post-operative follow-up on return to Singapore.
International patients
We work with patients across Singapore — Orchard, Novena, Tanjong Pagar and the wider island — who have exhausted local urology, gynaecology and chronic pain pathways without a clear diagnosis. Consultations are held in English; interpreters (Mandarin, Bahasa Melayu, Tamil) can be arranged. Reports are prepared in English suitable for Integrated Shield Plan claims.
Why patients travel from Singapore
Chronic pelvic pain — particularly pudendal neuralgia, chronic prostatitis / CPPS and pelvic floor dysfunction — is often difficult to diagnose within Singapore's general urology and gynaecology services. Many patients have completed cystoscopies, laparoscopies and pain-clinic protocols without an identifiable cause.
Prof. Renaud Bollens is a Professor of Urology with more than 26 years of surgical experience and over 600 pelvic procedures performed. His practice is subspecialised in laparoscopic pudendal nerve decompression, offered at our Dubai (Koster Clinic, Jumeirah) and Belgium centers.
For Singaporean patients we structure care as an online video evaluation, followed by a single focused 5–7 day surgical stay in Dubai and long-term remote follow-up. Documentation is prepared in English suitable for AIA, Great Eastern, Prudential, Income and other Integrated Shield Plan insurers.
FAQ
Yes. Singaporean patients begin with a secure online video consultation. When surgery is indicated, we coordinate the operation at our Dubai (Koster Clinic) or Belgium center — Dubai is typically closer with direct SIN → DXB flights (~7 hours).
SingHealth, NUHS and the private hospitals provide excellent general urology and gynaecology, but laparoscopic pudendal nerve decompression is not a routine subspecialty procedure in Singapore. Our practice is focused specifically on this operation.
Most Integrated Shield Plans (AIA, Great Eastern, Prudential, Income) reimburse overseas surgery when medically necessary and pre-authorised. We provide English medical reports, ICD/procedure codes and detailed invoices to support your claim.
Typical stay is 5–7 days in Dubai, including pre-operative imaging, the laparoscopic decompression itself, and the first post-operative review. Remote follow-up continues from Singapore.
